Introduction to information systems offering a breadth of introductory level skills, including web development, SQL, data analytics, spreadsheet automation, and programming skills useful to all business students. Solve business problems with technology and complete rigorous projects.

IS Concepts

Students will be able to explain core IS concepts, such as data security, computing and networks, systems in business, and systems project management.

Database

Students will design databases and query them to extract specific and nuanced data for business insights.

Programming and Automation

Students will apply programming principles to automate complex and repetitive business tasks.

Analyze and Visualize Data

Students will be able to use modern tools for analyzing and visualizing patterns in data to support better business decision making.

Web

Students will be able to create their own websites and host them online.
