Adam Woolley
Dean
Adam Woolley, who started his term as the dean of Graduate Studies in May 2021, is a professor in BYU’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Woolley’s scholarship is directed at the interface between miniaturization and biomolecules. He develops microfluidic devices for chemical analysis with an emphasis on biomedically relevant assays, and he is utilizing biomolecules to self-assemble nanoscale electronic systems.
James Crane
Assistant Dean, Curriculum and Professional Development
James Crane is the Assistant Dean of Curriculum and Professional Development. He manages curriculum review activities by the Graduate Curriculum Council. He also oversees Professional Development initiatives for 3300 graduate students and advises the Graduate Student Society (GSS) Presidency.
Amy Royer
Assistant Dean, Graduate Recruiting and Admissions
Amy Royer is the Assistant Dean of Graduate Recruiting and Admissions. She oversees all recruitment and admission processes for the approximately 3,000 domestic and international applicants applying to BYU’s 90+ graduate programs annually.
Taylor Adams
ASSISTANT DEAN, ADVISEMENT
Taylor Adams is the Assistant Dean of Advisement. He oversees graduation clearance, advisement petitions, the graduate progress report, electronic theses and dissertations, and student programs of study. He is the primary contact in Graduate Studies for the academic progress and program completion of graduate students.
