There are many types of graduate student applicants. Before you begin the application process, please read over the list below and determine which type of applicant you are.
New Graduate Applicants – Certificate/Masters/Doctoral
Applicants seeking regular admission into either a masters or doctoral program must apply online here.
Joint Degree Graduate Applicants
Current Joint Programs:
Law & MBA or MAcc or MPA
Law & Educational Leadership
MBA & Mechanical Engineering
MBA & Manufacturing Engineering
Applicants seeking to complete a joint degree must apply and be accepted to both graduate programs and also complete GS Form 5 after they are formally admitted.
Integrated Graduate Applicants
Current Integrated Programs
Accounting (MAcc), Athletic Training, Chemical Engineering, Information Systems Management (MISM), Mechanical Engineering, Statistics.
MAcc & MISM
Applicants seeking to complete an integrated degree in either the MAcc or MISM programs must currently be enrolled as undergraduate BYU students in those programs, must be recommended for admission by their undergraduate programs, and are required to complete theGS Form 5.
Law School Applicants
Applicants seeking to complete a Juris Doctorate must apply directly through the law schoolwebsite.
Graduate Certificate Applicants
The university currently offers a Graduate Certificate in Museum Practices.
This one year certificate program must be completed concurrently with an underlining Masters program, wherein applicants must first apply online and be recommended for admission to their respective Masters program, before being considered for the certificate program too.
Former Students
Applicants seeking to resume their graduate studies after having separated from the university must contact their graduate program and initiate an “Application to Resume Graduate Study” onGS Form 6.
Non Degree Seeking Students – Apply to Post Baccalaureate Studies
Applicants who have already earned a bachelor's degree and are not currently enrolled in a graduate program but wish to enroll in select classes may apply through BYU Post Baccalaureate Studieswebsite.
