An advanced analysis of the LDS Church from a social science perspective, including the Church as a new religious movement; LDS culture; the institutionalization process.

Critical Analysis

Students will demonstrate the ability to analyze and critique current literature on the sociology of the LDS Church and peoples.

Research Proposal

Students will produce a graduate-level, testable research proposal on the LDS Church and peoples.

Data Management

Students will become familiar with data sets suitable for testing hypotheses on the LDS Church and peoples.
