Influences of social factors in the development of various religious systems.

Theories

Students will be able to explain selected theoretical frameworks in the sociology of religion.

Criticism and Analysis

Students will be able to assess critically both published and unpublished texts relevant to religion, including datasets and other materials, in establishing meaningful frameworks and problems for study.

Writing

Students will be able to participate in all stages of preparing an original, publishable contribution to the sociology of religion.

Teamwork

Students will be able to organize and conduct team research on joint projects.
