Mentored, applied experience working for a company or government agency that develops tests or administers testing programs. Written reports required.

Problem-Solving

Demonstrate proficiency in using the concepts and principles of classical and modern test theory to solve practical problems such as

  1. Developing, evaluating, and improving tests and other assessments
  2. Estimating reliability
  3. Collecting evidence of validity
  4. Equating scores obtained from alternative forms
  5. Setting standards
  6. Detecting biased items
  7. Providing formative and summative descriptions of students' academic progress

Test Adminstration

Acquire practical, on-the-job experience working for an agency or company that develops and/or administers tests or other kinds of assessments.
