Prepare Technology and Engineering Education MS graduates to be leaders in the fields of Education and Technology (e.g., Teacher Leaders, District and State Supervisors, leaders in professional organizations, etc.). Topics covered include strategic planning, policy development, theoretical and practical leadership traits, conceptual and implementation deployment processes, articulation and team building among various organizations, ethics and conflict resolution, developing and implementing solutions to special problems, and advanced skills/concepts in traditional and emerging technology areas.

Course Outcomes

  1. Understand selected theories and philosophies, as well as the practice, of leadership
  2. Better understand themselves particularly with respect to their leadership and communication style
  3. Develop their own leadership theory
  4. Understand how to improve their ability to lead
  5. Understand how culture impacts teams and organizations
