Students with Disabilities
- Learn the tools to effectively prepare PETE students to work with students with disabilities
Management and Instructional Strategies
- Incorporate management and instruction strategies when including students with disabilities in the general physical education program
Course Content
- Understand the course content by reading the assigned chapters and articles
Inclusion
- Demonstrate an understanding of the two Federal Laws that govern the inclusion process in physical education
Professionalism
- Develop attitudes and behaviors that exhibit professionalism while complying with the laws related to the learner's rights and teacher's responsibilities
Comprehension
- Show an understanding of disability issues by passing a written final
Application
- Apply activities and techniques that encourages learners to see, question, and interpret physical activity from diverse perspectives
Research
- Utilize the concepts learned in class and through readings to write a research paper and complete a project.
Professional Conference Presentation
- Develop a project to be presented to the class and at a professional conference

- Collaborate on a research project with class members on disability issues
