Social work knowledge and practice skills needed to engage, assess, and intervene with children, adolescents, and their families. Evidence-based practices adapted for children, including a comprehensive bio-psycho-social-spiritual and developmental assessment, are considered. Focus on models for intervening with common mental illnesses, trauma, and family and peer difficulties typical of this age group.
