Topics in the New Testament emphasizing doctrinal, historical, and cultural background.

Unique contributions of the Four Gospels

Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the unique contributions of each of the four gospels as well as their contributions to our overall knowledge of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Mark 8:27 in debate

Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the academic debate for the question: "Whom do men say that I am?" (Mark 8:27).

Paul's Contribution to Christianity's growth

Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the Pauline contribution to the expansion of Christianity throughout the Roman Empire.

New Testament Doctrines

Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of major doctrines as taught in the New Testament.

Discourse on New Testament topics

Students will be able to critically read, write, and present about New Testament topics.
