509 Orchestral Literature 2

The purpose of this course is to study the standard orchestral literature through the eyes of a conductor. Upon completion of the course, students will be familiar with the most important literature of the late Romantic period up to through the new music of today.. They will be able to identify the most important composers, their works, and the most significant passages with regards to challenges for the conductor.
