Principles and methodologies of evaluating programs, measuring performance, and assessing program effectiveness in governmental and nonprofit entities.

Design Evaluation Protocols

Students will be able to design appropriate, effective, feasible program evaluation protocols for programs in the public and nonprofit sectors.

Identify appropriate evaluation methods

Students will be able to weigh the strengths and weaknesses of various evaluation methods as they relate to specific program evaluation questions.

Implement Program Evaluation in Practice

Students will be able to articulate the challenges of implementing program evaluation in practice, including ethical, procedural, and resource-based concerns.

Communicate using the Common Terminology of the Field

Students will be able to communicate using the common terminology of the field of program evaluation to communicate the process and results to all stakeholders.
