By the end of the semester, the student will be able to:

Demonstrate professional socialization as a Marriage and Family Therapist.

Demonstrate professional conduct of a graduate student.

Demonstrate knowledge of job descriptions, qualifications and experiences for the MFT in medical, academic, and private practice settings.

Demonstrate knowledge of current and potential ethical, value, and legal issues in Family Therapy

Demonstrate knowledge of current trends in Family Therapy licensure and certification requirements.

Demonstrate knowledge of the role of professional organizations.

Students will research, write, and successfully defend a master's thesis in marriage and family therapy.
