Examining English grammar and usage as they reflect different theories about language description and applying this knowledge in the ESL/EFL classroom.

Structural Analysis

Analyze and describe grammatical structures in English at the word, phrase, clause, and sentence levels.

Register Analysis

Analyze and describe different registers of English in terms of their grammatical characteristics.  

 

Pedagogical Application

Identify and create appropriate instructional activities for teaching English grammar skills to ESL learners.

Parts of Speech Analysis

Identify and label parts of speech in English sentences.
