Immigration Law Practicum

Focus on developing an in-depth understanding and practical knowledge of the procedures, substantive requirements, and best practices relating to representing foreign-born citizens or the United States Department of Homeland Security in federal deportation hearings. The most common applications for relief in such proceedings including asylum, cancellation of removal for permanent residents, cancellation of removal for non-lawful permanent residents, and adjustment of status. Deportation custody/detention authority and release, as well as voluntary departure for those who are not eligible to remain in the United States under any of the above-described applications.
