Describe the types of computing tasks managed by Systems Administrators.

Skills

Demonstrate the ability to complete technical tasks in a small team environment by working with a team of peers to accomplish goals which are too large for a single team member to accomplish in a reasonable time.

Systems

Explain the differences between workstations and servers, as well as the administrative differences between small, medium and large systems of computers.

Multi-server Windows System

Demonstrate the responsibilities required to administer a multi-server Microsoft Windows system by deploying an integrated system of servers.

Multi-server Linux System

Demonstrate the responsibilities required to administer a multi-server Linux system by deploying an integrated system of servers.

Networking

Demonstrate inter-server integration of network services such as DNS, SMTP, HTTP.

Explain the history and future of computer systems technologies such as operating systems, networking, virtualization, scripting.
