The history, theory, evidence-based research and application of several therapeutic modalities used in athletic training, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. Topics include: deep heating modalities (ultrasound and diathermy); electrotherapy (TENS, IFC, NMES, PENS, HVPC, iontophoresis).

Basic Science Principles

Synthesize principles of anatomy, physiology, pathomechanics, neurophysiology, and statistics as they relate to sports medicine and rehabilitation

Oral Presentation

Orally present critical analyses or original data as they relate to each EXSC 625R topic

Evaluate Literature

Critically evaluate the literature as it relates to each EXSC 625R topic
