Examining, understanding, and applying organizational theory, strategy, and strategic thinking to the various roles of school leadership in shaping the structures and cultures supportive of student and educator learning.

Principal Roles

Understand and apply the disciplinary knowledge of leadership and professional learning to the eight roles of the contemporary school principal.

School Culture

Understand how to define school culture, analyze school cultures, and the type of leadership necessary for shaping, maintaining and changing school culture to create a professional learning community.

Principal as Change Agent

Understand the current school culture and enact the principal roles to lead and manage continuous improvement (change) within a professional learning community.
