Primarily group approaches to personal and social counseling and guidance, including skill-streaming groups, divorce and loss groups, parent education groups, grief therapy interventions, and problem-focused interventions.
Theory and practice of group counseling
To learn major concepts in contemporary theory and practice of group counseling.
Group structures and processes
To develop a rationale for different group structures and processes.
Practical group skills
To experience practical group skills by forming, conducting, and ending a mock counseling group.
