3.0 Credit, 3 Lecture, 0 Lab
Students in this class will identify a real organization that requires a strategic communication project to solve an important problem for the organization. Throughout the semester students will then create a strategic plan for the organization. They will then execute a project that helps the organization achieve its strategic communications objectives and evaluate its success. Throughout this process, communication theory, practices, and research will be applied to analyzing and solving public relations, advertising, and other strategic communication problems. Students will create a strategic plan using elements from their previous courses, including the advertising and public relations graduate courses.
