Media Law & Ethics

Review of literature and research on ethics. Legal and regulatory relationship between government and communications; legal research methods.

Media Law

Students will understand and analyze the societal interests justifying the constitutional and legal protection of communication.

Methodology

Students will understand and apply the methodologies of legal research and analysis to locate and interpret constitutions, statutes, judicial opinions, administrative materials and legal scholarship.

Research

Students will understand a broad range of communications law issues and will learn in greater depth about a single issue by conducting a research project.
