This course teaches the basic principles of nuclear reactor design including core design, nuclear system design, structural design, safety analyses, and nuclear licensing. Integration of nuclear reactor systems, structures, and components is also a strong focus of this course. Finally, lectures will include the integration of these highly technical design topics with Nuclear Regulatory Commission licensing requirements and processes.
