Sustainable Transportation

Understand and be able to intelligently discuss issues and challenges facing modern urban transportation systems.

Transportation Planning

Understand the transportation planning process and the role of travel forecasting within it.

Transportation Behavior Analysis

Know the steps and typical quantitative model forms of the four-step travel modeling process: trip generation, destination choice, mode choice, and route assignment.

Communication

Communicate transportation planning ideas and methods effectively in written and oral formats.

Travel Model Development and Application

Be able to construct a basic travel model in a commercial travel modeling software package, and to extract relevant planning data from it.
