Submitter Statement:

I love BYU, and I loved my time as a law student at BYU. I learned some practical things in those days. Contracts and civil procedure. How to write an appellate brief. The rules governing commas. Also, I came away from BYU with a sense of who I am and how I should be in the world. How to pay attention. To notice what I notice. To be grateful. To communicate with clarity and simplicity and boldness. That is what my art is about: a moment, a glance, a shaft of light moving across a landscape, the fleeting sweetness of ordinary life, saying "I was here, this is what I saw, and this is what I love." In other words, a visual prayer of thanks.
