Graduate School can be a stressful experience and it is important for students to take care of their health and wellness. Fortunately there are now more resources available than ever to help students manage stress. Below you will find links to various resources offered through BYU Counseling and Psychological Services.

Stress Management

From the stress management page students can set appointments to do biofeedback coaching (relaxation training that uses physical feedback), access resources for deep breathing and different relaxation techniques, and print handouts on over 30 different mental health topics. The page also includes multiple other relaxation resources (through mental health apps, videos, and readings.)

Self-Help

The self-help page contains mental health programs such as Sanvello and Silvercloud and mental health-related academic courses including books, podcasts, and apps.

Services

The services page links students to clinical services including individual counseling, group counseling, and couples counseling. Graduate students can access these resources by following directions on this page. There are also case management services, so students who need different services can get connected with resources in the community.

There are a number of resources aimed at teaching faculty and staff how to help students with mental health concerns. The Helping Students in Distress page offers information for supporting students, managing mental health crises, and connecting to crisis resources.
