Biography
Albert Tay is a faculty member in the Information Technology program within the School of Technology at BYU. He teaches courses on Networking, Operating Systems, Information Assurance, Human-Computer Interaction, and Senior Project Capstone. Dr. Tay received his PhD from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and taught at Idaho State University and Neumann University. Before coming to BYU, Dr. Tay worked at Utah State Board of Education leading Utah’s Statewide Longitudinal Data System (SLDS) program.
Research Interests
Dr. Tay's research interests focused on design, adoption and use, data integration, and security and privacy issues enveloping Systems.Teaching Interests
Dr. Tay's teaching interest include Information Assurance, Database, Human-Computer Interaction and Interface Design, Networks and Telecommunication, and Software Engineering.Education
