Course Outcomes:

The goal of this course is to provide teachers and researchers with the
knowledge and skills required to conduct applied educational research and
classroom-based research; and to be educated consumers of research. The
educator-researcher is an important type of professional. Action research and
data-based decision making are still relatively new in schools, but single subject
research can provide the new methodology. Educational practice must become
more data-based. There is a need for empirical verification of instruction and
other practices. The course is designed to help teachers and other professional
interventionists to document pupil change and causal methods.
