Renaissance Period

Students are expected to acquire in-depth knowledge about specific compositions from the period 1400-1600. Additionally, the student should be able to link that knowledge with a general understanding of this period’s principal genres, musical styles, and aesthetic issues.

Writing

Students are expected to write substantial, in-depth papers based on a focused topic from the Renaissance. The research and writing skills should approach a professional level.
