Course Outcomes: 

Problem and question articulation

Students will demonstrate ability to articulate a problem from which a research question is derived and connect these to the existing knowledge base in the research literature.

Review of literature

Students will summarize and synthesize relevant literature for dissertation topic.


Students will design a research study that will generate knowledge that can be used to answer their doctoral research question.


Students will conduct a research study, analyze their data, and write an artiicle that accurately communicates their findings and recommendations.

Defense of dissertation

Students will successfully defend their research before a faculty committee.
