Evaluate published research

Interpret and critically evaluate published research studies in second language teaching.

Discuss principles of research design

Discuss philosophical differences between quantitative and qualitative research as well as principles of research design in both paradigms, including ways of maximizing validity and reliability.

Apply basic statistics

Select and use basic statistical procedures for analyzing quantitative data.

Prepare a prospectus

Prepare a prospectus, including a review of related literature and proposal for conducting an original study or project, in accordance with APA style guidelines.
